Honey Soda Bread / 蜂蜜苏打包


Ingredients / 材料:
  • 250 g All-purpose flour
  • 120 g Whole wheat flour
  • 2 tsp Baking soda
  • ½ tsp Salt
  • 50 g Butter, cut up
  • 180 g Raisins
  • 2 tsp Caraway seeds
  • 150 g Plain yogurt
  • 1/3 cup Honey
  • 1 tbsp Milk
  • 250克 中筋粉
  • 120克 全麦粉
  • 2小勺 苏打粉
  • 1/2小勺 食盐
  • 50克 牛油,切小块
  • 180克 提子
  • 2小勺 葛缕子籽
  • 150克 原味酸奶
  • 1/3杯 蜂蜜
  • 1大勺 牛奶

Method / 做法:
  1. In large bowl, combine flours, baking soda and salt and mix well. Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Then mix in raisins and caraway seeds.
  2. In small bowl, whisk together yogurt and honey. Add to flour mixture and stir until just combined. Turn dough onto lightly floured surface and knead 10 times or until dough is smooth.
  3. Form dough into ball and place on lightly greased baking sheet. With sharp knife, cut an "X" 1/3 inch deep into top of loaf. Brush with milk and bake at 165C/325F for 45 to 50 minutes, or until golden. Cool on wire rack.
  1. 将面粉,小苏打和盐混合放到盆里。切入牛油捏成粗粒状。然后加入提子和葛缕子籽。
  2. 混合酸奶和蜂蜜加入到粉类中拌匀即可。然后把面团移到洒粉的台面上,揉搓10分钟左右直到面团匀滑。
  3. 将面团揉成圆球状后放到抹了油的烤纸上,用把锋利的刀在面团上划个十字型,大约1/3寸深。表面刷上牛奶入预热165C/325F烤箱烘焙约45-50分钟或是直到金黄。架上晾凉。
