Spinach Bread Loaf / 菠菜吐司


Ingredients / 材料:
  • ½ cup Milk, or water
  • 1 cup Boiled spinach (½ cup thawed frozen spinach)
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 70 g Sugar
  • 400 g Bread flour
  • 6 g Active dry yeast
  • 40 g Butter
  • 1/2杯 牛奶
  • 1杯 水焯菠菜(用1/2杯菠菜泥也可以)
  • 1小勺 盐
  • 70克 砂糖
  • 400克 高筋粉
  • 6克 干酵母
  • 40克 牛油

Method / 做法:
  1. Combine the spinach with ½ cup milk or water. Combine stirring and tearing until the spinach is fairly well shredded and the water is thoroughly green. (You can use a food processor and puree into a shake instead)
  2. Combine the remaining ingredients, except butter, in bowl of an electric stand-mixer.
  3. Beat at medium speed with electric mixer using a dough hook until smooth. Add butter and beat until the dough cleans the sides of the bowl and is shiny and elastic. Cover with a damp cloth and let rise in a warm place until doubled in bulk.
  4. Turn dough onto a lightly floured board and knead until smooth. Place the dough into a greased baking pan. Loosely cover the bowl with a plastic wrap, allow it to rise for 1 hour or until it's doubled in size.
  5. Bake the loaf in a preheated 175C/345F oven for 35 minutes.
  1. 把菠菜和牛奶混合,搅至菠菜和牛奶完全混合完全为绿色。用厨房的食品搅拌机就最省事,搅出来就会是菠菜泥了。
  2. 混合所有材料,除了牛油,放在搅拌盆里头。
  3. 中档搅拌知道面团完全混合,接着加入牛油,搅拌至面团离开搅拌盆四周,且光滑有弹性。盖上湿布,放在温暖处发酵,直到面团呈现双倍大。
  4. 翻出面团放到洒粉的工作台上,揉搓至匀。 把面团放到抹了油的吐司模,盖上湿布或是保鲜膜,发酵1小时或是双倍大。
  5. 入预热175C/345F烤箱烘烤35分钟。
